History

Sakon was born the younger of identical twin boys, by a few minutes. His mother, Lola, was an American from New York City, and his father, Sunsui, was a Japanese man from Osaka. Since early life, Sakon has been speaking both English and Japanese, mixing the New York accent and the Kansai dialect together [The Kansai dialect is a manner of speaking, with very basic Japanese. It's very distinct, and spoken in the Osaka district]. Despite their parents' constant arguing, Ukon, the older twin, and Sakon grew very close, sharing everything, doing everything together.

When the twins were four, their mother left them with their father and returned to America, fed up with the arguments and life in Japan in general. She wasn't aware, however, that she was leaving her sons to their father's wrath, anger often directed towards his sons, physically, emotionally, and verbally. Leaving lasting scars inside and out.

After years of abuse, at age ten Ukon and Sakon were liberated by the police and, after several court sessions, sent to separate foster homes. During his time in foster homes, Sakon regained contact with his mother in New York, and visited her over holidays with her second husband. In a safer environment, Sakon was free to express himself, free to let out emotions, and he found this outlet in music; he threw himself into learning every instrument he could; guitar, bass, drums, piano, standing bass, and singing. He formed several small bands throughout high school until he finally secured a recording deal.
